TONKIN 53' TRAILER UPGRADE WITH A-LINE PARTS

The trailer needed some upgrade, so with some slight modification our kit 53' Universal Trailer Floor and Suspension (Kit #50002) works great. The floor has to be narrowed evenly to 1½". To accomplish this modification, we suggest that you use a piece of sandpaper on a flat surface and sand each side of the floor evenly until it fits the trailer.

The kit gives you the floor and sliding tandem assembly. You can use the A-Line wheels (Kit #50121) or you can modify the axle length on the stock chrome wheels to fit the A-Line suspension.

There are two screws that hold the stock floor to the body. To get to the screws you must remove the landing gear, which is glued on (see Pic 1) . You might want to replace stock one with one from A-Line. The other screw is under the rear suspension (see Pic 2). To get to this screw you must drill a small hole through the middle of the suspension so you can get a small Philips screw driver down to the screw (see Pic 3).

 Once you get the two screws out the stock floor comes right out. Then you can replace it with the new pre-assembled floor and add the tires, wheels and details. The bogie will now be adjustable.
