D&RGW Steam Generator Car 253 - Built from an Athearn PB. Grilles
removed and filled in with styrene sheet, new scratchbuilt grilles and porthole windows.. Roof top details scratchbuilt from styrene and brass wire. Decals by Microscale.

The GP30 # 3018 is by Bachmann. The detailing was done following the recommendations that Details West used to put at the top of their page in the Walthers Catalog. Part of the work included filing the upper corners of the pilot plow to match the prototype which was cut away for access to the coupler cut bars, etc. Most noticeable -- A-Line Windshield Wipers

SD45 # 5330 by Athearn. This model has a Cannon Cab and Nose. Detailed with DA, DW and A-Line parts. Model was built prior to release of RPP SD45 shell.

 

"Standard Detailing" includes lift rings, cut bars, MU and air hoses, plows, all grab irons, headlight castings, MV Lenses in all appropriate locations, antenna's, MU stands, Kadee couplers, A-Line Windshield Wipers, re-rail frogs on scratch built hangers, cab side window shades, and "lift holes" filed in top corners of pilot ends.
